Our experience has been largely focused on public libraries, which over the past two decades have undergone an extraordinary transformation from quiet, book-lending services into vibrant hubs for the community, with cafes, events, online services as well as places of study, opportunity and reader development. Exploring the parallel with retail has been valuable – focusing on the customer experience to draw in a wider audience, communicating a new message through branding and a new customer-focused approach by staff. The Design Agents bring a multidiscipline approach to the design and modelling of public spaces, exploring the customer journey in the digital, physical and emotional world.
